I'm Mohammadali “Mo” Masjedi — from Shiraz, now in the Harz mountains of Germany.
By trade I'm a software engineer working in data analytics; by calling, an
art & culture manager. I directed Shiraz Art House, an
independent home for artists in Shiraz, and spent years teaching the classical guitar —
chasing the clarity of a single well-played phrase or a single quatrain of Khayyám. Different rooms,
one mind.
Today that same patience goes into engineering: the slow, honest work of getting a
battery model to tell the truth. I'm a project manager by training too, and — first
and always — a guitarist, teacher and composer. The thread through all of it is one: curiosity,
craft, and building things that bring people together. Learn to live, live to learn.
The causes I give my time to are simple: education, children, arts & culture, and
animals — the same four threads that run through my work on Sahar (free education for kids
who are out of school) and through two cats who run my household.
